Advanced Periodontal and Implant Surgery – From Evidence to Practice

Clinical treatment strategies focusing on regenerative periodontal and implant surgery.

When is the prognosis of a periodontally compromised tooth considered hopeless? How far can we go with regenerative periodontal surgery, and what are the treatment options for periodontitis patients who have already lost one or more teeth due to periodontitis?

This course offers an exclusive opportunity to gain hands-on experience with various periodontal surgical techniques and explores how we educate and support patients with periodontitis to prepare them for periodontal surgery in accordance with international guidelines.

The course will also focus on implant treatment in patients with periodontal disease: when should implants be considered as a replacement for missing teeth, and what specific considerations should be taken into account for this patient group? Periodontitis patients carry an increased risk of peri-implantitis, so we will also cover prevention, diagnosis and stepwise treatment of peri-implant disease, including decontamination of the implant surface with electrolytic cleaning (GalvoSurge). In addition to expanding your professional network, you will gain knowledge and practical skills that can be implemented directly in your clinic.

Case-based review of theory combined with hands-on exercises.
